United Nations chooses SASMAR Personal lubricants
27 November 2009, Brussels: The United Nations Population Fund has signed a long term agreement with Sasmar as their official manufacturer and supplier of personal lubricant products to developing and third world countries globally.
A procurement intiative of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), the agreement with Sasmar will provide millions of water based personal lubricant sachets distributed alongside condoms in a effort to promote the acceptance and ongoing use of condoms, reducing unwanted pregnancies and controlling the spread of HIV in developing countries globally.
Encouraging condom use is vital in the effort to reduce the spread of HIV in developing regions which are particularly affected by the disease. Sasmar lubricants are uniquely formulated using high quality ingredients and designed to provide a superior glide when used with condoms.
"Sasmar's mission is to improve every persons heath and quality of life" says Sasmar Product Director Mr Andrew Soutter. "In the lead up to World Aids Day December 1st, Sasmar is very proud to be able work with the UNFPA in this program".
The UNFPA and Sasmar have already commenced supply of a large amount of product for projects underway in an undisclosed number of developing countries globally.
